Degree and Program Completion Requirements

The program will award a Bachelor of Science degree in 应用食品与营养 to individuals who enter with an associate’s degree or less and complete the requirements of the degree, 至少包括120个学分, with 58 of those 学分 being from a senior-level institution and the final 30 of the 120 学分 completed at GVSU, 根据大学政策. 另外, 有转学分的学生, at least 12 学分 of coursework from the 跨学科卫生学院 must be completed.

Requirements for the issuance of the DPD verification statement

学生 with a pri或Bachelor’s degree or higher must have completed the required courses of the DPD professional program as well as prerequisite requirements for those courses to receive a verification statement. These courses total the 78 学分 of AFN program courses required for a verification statement. A verification statement may only be awarded to students who have completed the B.S. in 应用食品与营养 degree OR another B.S. 或B.A. degree and the 78 required 学分 of the AFN major or equivalent transfer 学分. 除了, students must complete an identified assessment of each knowledge requirement (KRDN) with at least a 70% to successfully complete the DPD program and receive a verification statement. Required KRDN assessments are identified in the syllabi of courses containing them throughout the program and by request from the program director.
